An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the integrated diabetes nursing team within Swindon. This post will be based within the community diabetes team with a focus on providing education to people with Type 2 diabetes. There will also be a requirement to support clinical activity within the team and to provide support and education to health care professionals.

Main duties of the job

The Diabetes Nurse Educator will be a registered professional working within the integrated diabetes nursing team with a specific focus on providing structured education sessions for people living with type 2 diabetes. The role will also include supporting clinical activity within the team and providing support and education to health care professionals in addition to people living with diabetes and their family / carers.

The Diabetes Nurse Educator will be committed to promoting improved quality of life, for the individual living with diabetes and their family.
