Health Care Support Worker (End of Life)
We are seeking compassionate and motivated Healthcare Support Worker to join our Swindon End of Life Care Team(SELeCT). This team is dedicated to providing exceptional end of life care, supporting patients who wish to spend their final days at home.
Your role will be crucial in facilitating rapid hospital discharges, ensuring that both emotional and personal care needs are met for these patients. If you have a passion for end of life care and want to make a meaningful difference, we invite you to become a part of this team
Main duties of the job
You must be able to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for community nursing and particularly End of Life care. You must also have appropriate or transferable skills as well as a desire for on-going professional development. Shifts will include evenings and weekends. You must be keen to learn and adapt to a changing environment as well as being expected to complete the Care Certificate training, if you have not already have this qualification.
Record keeping is electronic so you must be prepared to learn how to use our systems. You will require excellent communication skills, have a kind and caring nature and be able to show empathy to the patient and their family at a time when they will almost certainly be feeling anxious and distressed. Adriving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. reword
