We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic people to join our very busy Gastroenterology secretarial team.
You will be required to undertake all secretarial duties including typing and dealing promptly with general correspondence and answering phone queries professionally, courteously and efficiently.
Providing a comprehensive secretarial service, the role will involve typing clinical letters with extreme accuracy within the agreed Trust wide targets and providing a central point of communication for patients and other healthcare professionals regarding treatments and consultation.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation skills. You will be required to interact with clinicians, patients and other staff colleagues directly and via phone and email, to ensure all requirements are met. GCSE Grade C or above in English and RSA typing or equivalent keyboards skills are also essential as is accuracy and attention to detail. Previous experience of Careflow as well as good IT skills would be beneficial.
Some training will be given but an understanding of medical terminology would be an advantage. The Trust actively encourages personal development and will be committed to supporting you to develop your skills in an environment where new ideas are welcomed and encouraged.
