An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the haematology team. We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, proactive nurse to join our team as a Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Nurse Specialist. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Bone Marrow Transplant Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
The post holder will be required to work autonomously as well as part of the immediate and larger team. Experience of nursing patients receiving chemotherapy is desirable as is advanced nurse practitioner skills as this post will be providing nurse lead clinics.

We are seeking a clinical leader who has a clear vision for cellular therapies services which meet patient and Trust needs ensuring clinical governance is a priority alongside patient safety.

Main duties of the job
- The Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Nurse Specialist (BMT CNS) will work as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)act as an autonomous, professional, and motivated clinical practitioner. They will be responsible for providing a specialist cancer nursing service working collaboratively with the BMT Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) and the JACIE team. The BMT CNS will promote clinical excellence and promote specialised advice and support to patients who are referred into Great Western Hospital (GWH) on the transplant pathway. This must be in line with national trends and strategies, ensuring specialist practice is patient centered and evidence base.
- The CNS will be a positive influencer, who has the expertise and highly developed skills to interpret and communicate specialty knowledge. The CNS will ensure that evidence-based practice within the specialty is promoted throughout the Trust always supporting the provision of compassionate, safe and high-qualitycare for all patients.
