You will work with the service managers, team and clinicians to Support the RTT delivery of accurate and timely information on waiting lists to support the effective management of primary targeting lists (PTL).
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure that patients waiting for treatment on an 18 week RTT pathway are validated and their treatment pathways are expedited in line with service and patients expectations. They will ensure that all potential breaches of the target are escalated and managed appropriately by working closely with the administrative teams. They will work with service managers and clinicians to ensure patients are treated in a timely manner

- Assist the divisional teams in the correct application of RTT rules and support the ongoing validation of the trust RTT Patient Tracking List (PTL)
- Interrogate hospital systems including Careflow, ERS, diagnostic systems, Medical records and BI to monitor and record every event in the Patient Pathway
- Dealing with telephone and email enquiries from within the trust to the validation inbox.
- Ensure that mandatory data items are accurately obtained, checked and recorded ensuring compliance with information and data quality standards in order to support divisional operational teams to achieve a high standard of data quality and completeness.
- Communicate with and train clinical and administrative teams on RTT rules and guidance, including clock start and stop rules, treatment pathways and data quality.
- Liaise with other departments ensuring relevant information is communicated in a timely manner.
- To communicate patient progress through a pathway regularly and effectively to the relevant clinicians and managers.
- Support the investigation of long wait patient pathways e.g. 30 week and above
- Collect data retrospectively as and when required to help inform RTT related service reviews or breach analysis.
- Co-ordinate and carry out manual validation of data prior to submission of weekly and monthly RTT reports- by checking details in EPR, referral/clinic letters or other trust system
