We're looking for someone to join the B&NES Swindon and Wiltshire Acute Hospital Alliance Procurement Service delivering collaborative procurement and commercial support to Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT), Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH), Wiltshire Health and Care (WHC) and Royal United Hospital Bath (RUH).

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate(s) will have the flexibility to be based at any of the Trusts in Bath, Swindon or Salisbury and will undertake procurement activity for all Trusts within the B&NES Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care System (ICS) and consequently will be required to split their time across the organisations accordingly. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office.

The post holder will provide procurement advice to both internal and external customers ensuring that both clinical and non-clinical areas are supported, and enabling them to deliver effective patient care pathways.

  • A Level Maths, English, Business/Administration or equivalent National Diploma

Desirable

  • Level 4 Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and prepared to study for full professional accreditation.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working within a multifunctional business environment.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Experienced in business/procurement administration
  • Conducted low value non-complex procurements e.g. obtaining competitive quotations. Understanding of purchasing processes from source to pay
