Great Western Hospital Apprenticeships offers you a work placement for 18 months in Business Administration Level 3 for the Great Western Hospital Trust in Swindon. This is based in our main GWH Hospital.

You must be confident, an excellent communicator, and able to work with existing procedures and processes within the Team. You need an eye for detail and be able to work to tight deadlines. Customer Service experience would also be advantageous.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit a motivated, high quality individual to join our Apprenticeship programme at Great Western Hospital. With support from Managers, training providers and the Apprenticeship team, you will be an effective member of your team gaining valuable experience whilst undertaking a programme of further education and development as part of the Apprenticeship.

If you are shortlisted you will be invited to an interview which includes literacy & numeracy assessments. You will be expected to complete the formal training elements of the programme and must not hold a NVQ/QCF/ BTEC level 3 or higher in Business Administration.
About us
We have a dedicated team based in the Academy, which is the Trust's Learning and Development centre who will support you in your Apprenticeship programme. They will work very closely with you and your manager to provide a comprehensive development plan detailing your objectives and workplace goals. Your course provider will assign you an assessor who will provide you with work and also support you on your journey.

Work as part of a team providing a full administration service across the Apprenticeship Team. This will include, but is not limited to, the following:
1 Undertake a variety of administrative, clerical duties for the Apprenticeship Team as appropriate. This includes the typing up reports, preparing documents, letters, emails, minutes as required.
2. Assist in managing various inboxes, responding to basic queries and referring more complex issues to the Apprenticeship Co-ordinator.
3. Refer all new apprentices to identified training providers.
4. Answering telephone queries politely, promptly and in a professional manner.
5. To update and add new learners onto the digital apprenticeship service.
6. To prepare resources for teaching and presentations as and when required.
7. To provide admin support for apprenticeship recruitment events.
8. Effective use of time management skills to prioritise workload and refer to Line Manager as required.
9. To manage and maintain the apprentice database.
10. To manage audit data including completion of any external data requirements such as BSW quarterly returns.
11. To sign a learning contract with the training provider and adhere to the agreement.
