Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, accomplished, and experienced individual for the role Director for Pharmacy. The postholder will provide the strategic, operational and financial leadership for medicines optimisation across an integrated community and acute care organisation.
We are looking for an ambitious individual to lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional care as we transform our services. In this unique role, you will lead the strategic direction of the service ensuring service development and modernisation aligns with national strategies, professional agendas and the strategic/ operational objectives of the Integrated Care System.
Main duties of the job
The Post holder will also be responsible for managing all aspects of Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation across the localities with accountability to the Chief Medical Officer.
The successful candidate will be a registered pharmacist, with relevant current and recent practice. The postholder will demonstrate an excellent knowledge of medicines optimisation, safety, legislation and best practice across an integrated health care system, as well as being able to demonstrate exemplary leadership, management and innovation.
They will have outstanding interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to communicate with a range of colleagues, health care professionals and the public.
