Job summary
As a pivotal member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for developing strategies to generate major gift funds and manage the various stages of their implementation. In consultation with the Fundraising Manager and Associate Director of Fundraising and Voluntary Services you will continually raise the profile of the charity in order to develop and nurture relationships with our supporters.
The post of Major Gifts Manager is an important link between the hospital's charity and its high-net-worth supporters and will require knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire donors to continue to support Brighter Futures through engaging applications, communications, project updates and reports.
The role will also be responsible for researching appropriate trusts, foundations and other grant making bodies. Managing and developing the major donor programme and stewarding donors all in line with the Trusts strategic objectives for income growth.
Main duties of the job
A key element of the role will be to create compelling, creative, and persuasive applications and cases for support and to maintain excellent engagement, to develop and grow major gift income.
A key task of this role would be to create tailored presentation materials that evidence the need and impact of certain bids and raise income with a focus on securing five and six figure major gifts from individuals and charitable trusts and foundations by initiating and developing long term relationships.
