Chippenham Community Hospital Housekeeping department undertake a variety of cleaning duties throughout the health care premises. This includes wards, clinical areas, offices, kitchens, sanitary and communal areas.
We are looking for someone to join our team and become a valuable member of NHS staff. Benefits include generous paid holidays, weekend and public holiday enhancements, optional pension scheme and uniform.
Previous experience in the NHS environment would be an advantage but we will provide full training to the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
Various duties throughout the health care premises, which will include emptying, relining and cleaning general and clinical waste bins. Cleaning duties throughout clinical and non-clinical areas, such as offices, kitchens, wards, sanitary and communal areas.
Replenishing supplies of soap, toilet rolls, paper towels etc.
At times assisting with clearing tables, washing up either by hand or using machines.
Periodic maintenance cleans of carpets and floor surfaces. Ad hoc curtain changing.
Maintaining departmental records, such as fridge temperature sheets
Ensure all equipment is used and stored in the correct manner.
Securing & opening departments which may involve activating/deactivating alarms.
