Job summary

We're looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team to drive our year-round approach to planning for the future. You'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team to rapidly form plans and ensure that we get alignment internally and with our system partners.

You will be a confident and passionate individual who can help develop our future plans and support our clinical teams to ensure we deliver against our commitments. You will have excellent writing and communication skills and be able to understand and manipulate complex data. You'll have strong business and commercial skill and above all you need to share our vision and values for the type of organisation we're aiming to be.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will take a leading role in the Trust's planning cycle. Working closely with the Associate Director of Strategy and colleagues from the Trust's planning multi-disciplinary team the post holder will takea central coordination role and will need to support in all areas (including finance, activity, performance, workforce, improvement and efficiency and strategic long-term thinking). This will include linking an engagingwith colleagues across our Integrated Care System (ICS) and Acute Hospital Alliance (AHA).

As plans are developed the post holder will also assist in the coordination and support of the Trust's strategy development and deployment.

The post holder will support the implementation of plans across the organisation and ensure that performanceagainst plans is monitored and reported to relevant committees

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Understanding of social and political environments and awareness of their political impacts on the health economy.

Desirable

  • Education or training which demonstrates ability to communicate in written form

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of writing clear, high quality content for a variety of audiences including producing and giving presentations
  • Experience of working in the NHS and an understanding of current priorities.
  • Experience of supporting bids/tenders or business cases
  • Experience of conducting briefings (verbal and written) to senior colleagues
  • Experience in writing reports suitable for Trust committee review.

Desirable

  • Masters in business or health field
  • Experience of working in a business development team
  • Experience of working in other integrated health systems
  • Experience of NHS planning process.

  • Outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills
