A Great Western Hospital Apprenticeship offers you a work placement for 18 months based at Great Western Hospital in Swindon, working within the Recruitment team while completing an apprenticeship in Customer Service.

Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit motivated, high quality individual to join our apprenticeship programme at Great Western Hospital. With support from manager, you will be an effective member of the Recruitment team gaining valuable experience whilst undertaking a programme of further education and development as part of the Apprenticeship.
We have a dedicated team based in the Academy, which is the Trusts learning and development centre who will support you in your Apprenticeship programme. They will work very closely with you, your manager and Apprenticeship provider to support learning objectives and workplace goals.
You will be employed on a 18 month fixed term contract on 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) salary is £161.25 per week (Paid Monthly) with time for personal study towards the apprenticeship standards. You will also be entitled to Annual Leave holiday inclusive of public holidays.

- To provide a full administration and support service to the Recruitment Team.
- To ensure that the following areas are managed and completed in a timely manner;
- DBS clearances Manual applications, progress reports, entering clearances onto ESR
- Opening and distributing post
- Filing and archiving of paper and electronic files
- Managing the Recruitment, Join the bank & Recruitment Forms inboxes
- Creating and issuing bank agreements for substantive staff
- Be the main point of contact for visitors to the office and assist them with any queries, escalating to more senior team members where required.
- Adhere to NHS Employment check standards at all times
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times and handle sensitive information in a mature manner.
- Attend and take part in team meetings and regular reviews with line manager etc. Attend meetings and participate in relevant training programmes as requested by the organisation.
- Assist the Recruitment Administrators in times of peak workload.
- Help facilitate recruitment events when required.
- Assist the team with the necessary arrangements for events run by the organisation.
- Sign a learning contract with the training provider and adhere to the agreement.
