Job summary

To provide and maintain a high standard of patient focused nursing care reflecting the Unit philosophy and an inter-disciplinary approach to rehabilitative care and discharge planning in all areas of practice. To contribute to the development of services within SwICC.

Main duties of the job

Are you a passionate and motivated nurse looking for a new challenge? Come join the Swindon Intermediate Care Centre (SWICC) team and apply for the Staff Nurse role where exciting opportunities await you.

SWICC encompasses three wards, specialising in rehabilitation, stroke and complex discharge planning for adults, working with patients alongside their families, who will often have complex health and social care needs to enable them to become as independent as possible and return home. We are on a journey to drive an innovative, high quality and patient focused service.

We believe that supporting and developing staff is at the heart of providing high quality care and as part of this staff have access to a range of professional and personal development opportunities. If you are patient-centred, committed to delivering high quality care and have excellent clinical and communication skills then this is the job for you.

If you want to join a motivated, friendly and supportive team, we are keen to hear from you! We will be holding a virtual event on Thursday 26th November at 16:30 to meet members of the SWICC Team and learn more about the three ward areas.

Essential

  • Registered General Nurse /Diploma or Degree
  • Evidence of continuing Professional Development

Desirable

  • ENB 941
  • Knowledge and/or experience of NVQ assessing

Experience

Essential

  • Experience working in a relevant clinical area
  • Willingness to undertake and maintain the following competencies Basic life support skills, IV drug administration
  • Interest in or experienced as a mentor to students or junior colleagues

Desirable

  • Experience of working in the community
