Main duties of the job
The Trust is committed to developing our Team Leaders so that if they wish to, they can become the future leaders of the organisation. Team Leaders will have access to EEAST's Leadership Development Framework.
The Team Leader will support the running of the locality in conjunction with the Leading Operations Manager, or as directed including welfare, performance management, absence management, completion of appraisals and clinical leadership as well as providing support following adverse or traumatic incidents; as an essential part of this role.
If you are successful in application and assessment for this role, you will be invited to attend a 3 day Team Leader 'Kickstarter' induction.
Please note:
- external Paramedic applicants will also be subject to a 2 week induction at one of our training centres
- external Nurses who have not completed a Pre-Hospital Nurse Practitioner (PHNP)/Ambulance Nurse qualification will also be subject to completing the full PHNP induction programme. This is 18 weeks clinical and 4 weeks driving in total, including an initial 3 week face-to-face induction (full details available on request).
During the training course it is your responsibility to attend in full, on each day. Accommodation and travel expenses will not be provided so you will need to consider the costs and travel expense of attending. Where possible, candidates will be allocated to the training centre nearest to their operational base.

The East of England works alongside 17 Acute Trusts with Accident & Emergency services and a Major Trauma Centre in Cambridge. Access is available to neighbouring MTCs such as those in London.
