Job summary
The Trust is looking to appoint Specialist Clinicians in Hear & Treat (Clinical Advisors EOC) to work in the Emergency Clinical Advice &Triage Centre (ECAT) in the Emergency Operations Centres in Bedford, Norwich & Chelmsford.
We are looking for Paramedics, Nurses (Adult & Paediatric) and Mental Health Nurses.
We are looking for full or part time permanent staff, for our permanent relief or Core Rotas.
Rota/Relief and Flexible working (Dual Working available for internal staff)
During initial training period staff will be required to attend one of the Emergency Operation Centres in person to complete mandatory and statutory training for the role. Agile/ Home working may be possible once initial training and clinical supervision has successfully been completed.
From 26/4/23, as a bonus to joining our growing team we are also delighted to offer the following in addition to the advertised salary to join the team and applicable to this advert only:
£500* payment in your first months' payAfter 12 months in post, you will receive a further payment of £750**After 24 months in post, you will receive a further payment of £750**This is only applicable to external candidates to the Trust.

Main duties of the job
This role intercepts lower acuity and clinically appropriate 999 calls, providing advice and arrange for safe and appropriate care pathways for these patients. The over-riding aim is to appropriately and safely reduce 999 ambulance demand and A&E admissions. The candidate will be an integral part of the evolution and establishment of a Regional ECAT that will develop a multi-disciplinary approach to 999 call interception as well as routine triage of non-emergency 999 calls. The successful applicant must be a registered nurse / HCPC registered paramedic.
We can also offer the opportunity to complete 'Advance Clinical decision Making' CPD module for external candidates who join the ECAT Team.
