Psychological Therapist

We are looking to recruit a Band 7 Psychological Therapist to join our busy Community Mental Health Team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The post is based at the City Anchorage, Julian Hospital, Bowthorpe Road in Norwich.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the care of adults experiencing complex mental health difficulties, including relational challenges, within a multi-disciplinary secondary care setting.

You will be joining a diverse and skilled team with competencies and accreditations in a range of evidence-based psychological therapies. The role is essential in maintaining continuity of psychological input and supporting the wider MDT during a period of increased service demand and development.

Main duties of the job

This is a varied and dynamic role suited to a practitioner with clinical confidence and flexibility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments for therapy suitability.
  • Delivering individual and group psychological interventions.
  • Providing psychological consultation and clinical supervision to multi-disciplinary colleagues.
  • Contributing to teaching and training for staff across the service.
  • Attending and actively participating in MDT meetings, offering psychological perspectives to inform care planning.
  • Supporting the psychology team in sustaining high standards of care and service delivery during the fixed-term period.

Training in a variety of evidence-based psychological therapies is highly desirable.
