Main duties of the job

  • Lead the strategic planning and delivery of complex, Trust-wide administrative projects aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Act as the professional lead for all administrative and clerical staff, including line management of senior administrative colleagues across localities.
  • Chair and coordinate Trust-wide forums such as 'Not Just Admin' and 'Recruitment & Retention'.
  • Develop and implement consistent job roles, responsibilities, and career pathways for administrative staff.
  • Drive service improvement initiatives and lead the adoption of innovative technologies, including AI, to streamline administrative processes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, business managers, and locality teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of administrative strategies.
  • Provide expert advice and training to managers on administrative workforce development and support.
  • Monitor project delivery, manage risks, and report on progress and outcomes to senior stakeholders, including the Board.
  • Ensure financial oversight of key projects, contributing to cost-effective service delivery and resource allocation.
