The LD CAMHS service provides assessment and treatment for young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities who present with mental health concerns and or behaviours that are significantly challenging. The service sees young people up to the age of 18. The service offers a range of interventions including behavioural analysis and positive behavioural intervention, Psychological and medical intervention as appropriate.

The post holder will provide day to day operational leadership and management for the team, reporting directly to the Operational Manager of the service and will work closely with the CAMHS team and Community Matron. We are seeking someone with previous management experience excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and demonstrate NSFT values of safer, kinder, better in your attitude. Main duties of the job

Responsible for the operational management of the service delivery within the service.

Provide visible leadership, promoting a values-based culture and acting as a role model within the environment.

Responsible for leading and managing the team, ensuring they are suitably trained, informed and competent to carry out the full range of their duties, and that mechanisms are in place for regular and effective supervision, appraisal, objective setting, and personal development planning.

Responsibility for ensuring safe staffing levels are maintained according to service budget.

Responsible for ensuring systems are in place to allocate new caseloads and efficient use of resources to ensure caseloads and the management of caseloads remain safe.

Ensure care is delivered in a patient centred framework involving service users, families, and carers.
