Wellbeing Suffolk Deputy Service Manager
Wellbeing Suffolk delivers NHS Talking Therapies and is currently benchmarked in the top three NHS Talking Therapies Services in the country with workforce surveys evidencing high morale. The service was recently awarded continuation to deliver the Talking Therapies contract for a further five years and is building on existing strengths to deliver the new model launched agreed in September 2024, so, a very exciting time to be joining the service.
The service is delivered as part of a well-established partnership between Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT), MTCIC, Shaw Trust, Suffolk Family Cares and Family Action. Our NHS Talking Therapies service provides community orientated, evidence-based psychological therapies for people from the age of sixteen with common mental health problems of anxiety and low mood with a range of presentations.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to employ a forward-thinking professional that demonstrates commitment to the service, in order to help meet the needs of our communities in Suffolk.
This is a community-based role that will require working face-to-face with colleagues and extensive networking across Suffolk as well as ability to work independently from home, as a hybrid role. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the front door to the service and ensure cross cover with other operational colleagues, supporting the service needs.
You will require exceptional organisational skills, an ability to filter demands and prioritise effectively, with a good grasp of what can be appropriately delegated. Day to day problem solving whilst maintaining an eye on the strategic direction of the service is important.
You will supervise others and ensure quality service provision and delivery across Suffolk, to support your direct reports and the service in achieving our key aims, ensuring performance outcomes are met to maintain, and progress our successful service.
You will have proven experience working in operational management, be motivated and have an ability to inspire and lead others, with the ability to lead and manage change through challenging times . A 'can do' attitude is essential to work collaboratively with all colleagues throughout the service and partnership.
About us
Experience of working within an NHS Talking Therapies service or knowledge and enthusiasm about the NHS Talking Therapies programme would be an advantage and you will need to demonstrate a history of achieving demanding key performance outcomes within a multifunction delivery team as the service is heavily performance managed around a number of contracted indicators.

We are a research-friendly service currently involved in a number of projects focussing on improving outcomes for our service users, and ways of developing the support offered to therapists to achieve this.
