Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust
The closing date is 29 April 2025
Job summary
Staff Nurse: Rose ward, Organic Older Persons' Inpatient
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Nurse to join our team. Rose ward is a specialist mixed-gender continuing assessment ward for the assessment and treatment of organic mental health, with 13 beds.
We work hard to make sure we provide quality, evidence-based and collaborative care in all of the areas we cover. This role will include interaction and communication with a wide scope of people including service users, health and social care staff, medical and carers.
So, are you someone who is passionate about delivering compassionate and individualised care, driving quality improvement and able to provide clinical leadership within an inpatient mental health setting? If you have the qualities described above then we want you to think about coming to be a part of our team.
Main duties of the job
You will be working within an inpatient service with a focus on the safety of our patients and the quality of the care they receive. You will have the opportunity to lead and direct the structure and focus of the ward routine for service users and staff.
As a Band 5 Nurse on Rose ward you will have the opportunity to develop both clinical and leadership skills in an exciting and dynamic environment.
Come and join us as we strive for excellence!
As part of our ongoing strive for excellence we are developing a 'care team' approach to patient centred care. We're looking for a hands on, flexible nurse who is skilled at developing therapeutic relationships.
It can be a challenging environment at times, so we need clinicians with a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and a hands-on approach. It is vital that the clinician is reflective around issues of power and difference, see the importance of working across systems, and can do that effectively.
If you have the drive to provide excellent care, can demonstrate high quality clinical skills and are willing to go the extra mile to help make a difference to people's lives then we would love to hear from you.
The role is shift working; we do days and nightshifts and you will be expected to be on a rota to accommodate a ward that is open 24/7. There will a mixture of days and nights, weekends and holidays.
