Suffolk Wellbeing are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) Band 4. After successful completion/passing of the training course you would be employed at Band 5.
The posts will be based in either Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds, but travel will be required as part of the role during training and post qualification across Suffolk and Norfolk.* This is a full-time training post which will comprise of three days in service (office based) and two days University commitments (University of East Anglia).
Main duties of the job
This is a trainee position and involves undertaking training and completion of university award.
(Please note, we are unable to consider applicants who are currently enrolled on any existing courses.)
As part of this trainee position, you will carry out low intensity CBT interventions and assessments for individuals with mild to moderate depression and anxiety. Support is offered in the form of shadowing opportunities, as well as regular individual and group supervision sessions.
We welcome applicants who are passionate about supporting patients with anxiety and depression in using the techniques of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) guided self help.
