An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic admin manager to lead our administrative teams across the Secure & Forensic Services Care Group, in providing a high-quality administration support service to both clinical and managerial teams.
We're a dynamic Care Group supporting people with mental health needs throughout the Criminal Justice System, from point of arrest to inpatient care, and into the community. Our teams are based in the Police Investigation Centres & Control Rooms, local prisons, secure inpatient wards and the community, making this a varied and interesting role.
You will work closely with our Business Support/Service Managers in ensuring our admin structure, processes and procedures are the best they can be, and our admin staff feel fully supported and valued to perform their crucial roles in improving the experience of our patients, stakeholders and clinical and managerial staff.
Wide-ranging knowledge and skills in administrative policies, procedures and practices are required, as is a proven significant history of managing and developing large teams of people, including performance management, meaningful appraisals, staff development, culture change, line management supervision and change management, as well as supporting in matters relating to Governance, quality and safety.
Main duties of the job
Co-ordinate the administrative function within the Care Group to deliver an efficient and effective service that supports clinical delivery, service management, service users and carers.
Provide training and ongoing support and development to team members you oversee, including clinical systems.
Manage staff and resources effectively, employing high quality staff management and leadership principles for staff development, professional standards, communication and appraisals.
To actively be involved in succession planning and recruitment to vacancies, including the advertising for, shortlisting and interviewing of candidates.
Represent the service line at appropriate Care Group and Trust-wide meetings as appropriate to the role.
