Job summary
Whitlingham ward is a mental health inpatient unit situated in Hellesdon Hospital in Norwich. This is a blended female secure inpatient ward, for treatment services for acute mental disorders.
Our primary focus is on collaborative working: placing great emphasis on the assessment/recovery model. Many aspects relating to service user recovery are reflected within the assessment tools the patients and staff use and the philosophy that underpins patient-centred care.
Whitlingham ward looking for a part-time Senior Clinical Team Administrator, to job share for 2 days with our current senior admin. The role will involve working closely with the ward's clinical team, often within the ward environment, to support a varied range of administrative tasks. You will also have supervisory responsibilities for a small team of clinical administrators.
You will not be expected to work weekends or bank holidays.

Main duties of the job
You will need to be able to demonstrate strong communication skills with people of all backgrounds using a range of media. Tasks can be extremely varied, so you will be able to evidence a flexible response to service needs and the ability to think creatively. Experience of working to deadlines, on your own initiative and maintaining strict confidentiality are essential.
The role will require the post holder to supervise and carry out appraisals on named members of staff, therefore supervisory/appraisal experience is essential, as will be experience prioritising and delegating workload across a team.
The post holder will be required to use multiple systems which include but not limited to:
- ESR
- Health Roster
- Oracle
- Lorenzo
Experience of using these systems would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
There will be clinical minute taking, diary management and audio typing duties, so the role requires you to be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Word, and have a very good standard of written English.
You should have experience of working in a busy office environment, as well as the ability to multi-task. There is a requirement to complete various data reports, spreadsheets and support ad hoc audits.
