Job summary
NSFT has recently redesigned and is continuing to develop a new data warehouse. The Data Warehouse manager will provide the management of and direction for the maintenance and development of the new data warehouse. The new data warehouse will be a vital part of the NSFT information service. In addition the post holder will lead the development of information initiatives specifically related to national datasets and data submissions. All tasks listed with have a specific focus on national data requirements.
Provide high quality, accurate, relevant, and timely information across NSFT focused in the main on national datasets data. Supervise and allocate the work produced by the Information Development Analysts.Work closely with colleagues within the Information team to complete team workload
Main duties of the job
The duties and responsibilities for the data warehouse manager role:
Ensure the data warehouse is stable, secure and the data derived from it is quality assured to support the service and statutory requirements.
Be responsible for the design and implementation of tools and techniques for measuring, understanding and improving the quality of data held in the data warehouse.
Develop and maintain technical standard operating procedures used by the Data Warehouse team and ensure they are followed.
Support highly complex Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes and manage Microsoft SQL server databases.
Work proactively with the NSFT Information Team and Contracts and Performance colleagues to ensure that resource requirements are met to enable the production of analysis that enables the Trust to understand and improve quality and performance.
