Job summary

We are pleased to share with you that our Norfolk and Waveney Eating Disorders services are looking for a community team manager to join the service line! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service, we pride ourselves on high quality evidence based care. The Lighthouse service is our day treatment centre for children and young people who require intensive day treatment, we are one of few services in the country who offer day treatment and are incredibly proud of this local offer. We have excellent staff retention rates and have worked hard to recruit to all of our vacancies over recent years. The team have no waiting lists and offer NICE concordant treatment from the point at which they are assessed. Staff access specialist training opportunities, regular supervision and opportunities to develop in their career.

The mission of the Norfolk & Waveney Community Eating Disorders service is to build meaningful, therapeutic relationships with young people and their families. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the central and day treatment team, we are looking for candidates who are passionate, dynamic and will need to have excellent interpersonal skills. Eating disorders experience is not essential.

'Hello, My name is Nyssa and I am currently the CTM for the Eating Disorder Team in Central Norwich and for the Eating disorder intensive treatment team.

I am progressing in my career and wanted to tell you about why this is such a rewarding role. The teams are a multi-disciplinary, highly specialised and committed group where no two days are the same, with incoming referrals, triage and duty in the community team, and day to day therapeutic intervention and meal support in the day treatment programme. I have enjoyed the patient contact with those in the day programme, whilst also taking on the more operational side of team management.

The team are committed and kind, and are looking for a manager to steer them in accreditation with the QNCC aswell as support projects around Carer and Sibling engagement, it is an exciting time in Eating disorder care, with national changes in pathways for young people.'

Essential

  • Knowledge of medication and the monitoring of its effects.
  • Build on / develop further knowledge of psychosocial interventions
  • An understanding of the policies and guidelines both local and national e.g. National Institute for Clinical Excellence guidelines.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip SW or Dip OT or equivalent, or HCPC registered

Desirable

  • Ongoing professional development working towards degree level
  • ILM certificate in management or equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • Able to demonstrate experience at a senior clinical level including staff management/supervision experience
  • Experience of working within a multi disciplinary team
  • Evidence of providing leadership in a Mental Health care environment including service development
