Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a registered mental health nurse, occupational therapist or social worker looking to progress their career as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. This new post will provide specialist nursing care to our patients, whilst providing clinical leadership. The post will provide clinical support to our Older People's Ward, Clozaril and ECT.

Clinical Nurse Specialists play an integral role in the provision of care for patients in a range of different circumstances. They are trained in specific areas with the intention of treating complex illnesses, so having the right skill set is essential. A CNS will have five major responsibilities, clinical practice, research, teaching, consulting and management.

Main duties of the job

You will have an understanding of mental health issues, proactively exploring and developing partnerships and pathways to improve the patient journey.

The successful applicant will have direct clinical leadership for Willow ward, Clozaril and ECT and they will be an important part of the MDT.
