We are at the forefront of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services transformation in Norfolk and Waveney. With the National conversation increasingly focussed on infant mental health this is a hugely exciting time to be working in these services. With community awareness about the challenges families of infants and young children face, the 0-4 Parent Infant Mental Health team focus support on the development of healthy relationships which promote emotional health and resilience.
The 0-4 Parent Infant Mental Health team are currently redesigning treatment pathways and provision and are seeking a highly motivated and skilled psychotherapist to complement the team as we progress through the Children's Mental Health Transformation Strategy.
The post holder will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and partner organisations to improve the emotional health and development of infants and pre-school children who are experiencing emotional difficulties, through dyadic or family-based interventions.
Main duties of the job
- Providing therapy for parents and babies and children under four years of age.
- Providing consultation and training to a variety of professionals and agencies.

- Maintain clinical records of assessment and interventions, details of support provided, and evidence related to targets and produce reports as necessary.
- Take responsibility for the general administration to support clinical matters.
- Participate in the agreed performance management systems for a Clinical Therapist including appropriate clinical supervision.
- Ensure that professional development needs are identified and that activities are undertaken including appropriate clinical supervision.
- Liaison and consultation with professional colleagues both within and outside of NSFT.
- Ensuring safeguarding of children and implement Local Safeguarding Board (LSCB) procedures where a child may be at risk.

- Participate actively in regular supervision and clinical meetings.

- To be registered with either UKCP/HPC/BABCP or an equivalent body.
- minimum of four years or equivalent with respective discipline
- Post graduate qualification in psychotherapy or equivalent

- Doctoral degree in psychotherapy or closely related subject.
- Masters level Qualification or working towards this.

- Significant experience post qualification in Child & Family service
