We currently have several Band 6 Nursing/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist vacancies in our West Suffolk CFYP Team based in Bury St Edmunds and in our East Suffolk CFYP Team based in Ipswich.
We are looking for mental health or paediatric nurses, social workers or occupational therapists or equivalent with experience and skills in working with children, young people and their families and carers. CAMHS experience would be especially welcome as would knowledge of attachment, child development and working systemically.
The feedback we receive from student nurses and CAMHS trainee doctors has been how they have been welcomed into a highly skilled supportive team and learned so much from their rich experience.
Main duties of the job
The Child and Family team in the CFYPS ( Child and Family and Young People's Service) assess and offer a variety of evidence based interventions to young people up to 18 years and their families/carers. We are the CAMHS team embedded within a 0-25 years model. The Child and Family team also works closely with the Youth Team who see young people over the age of 18 years, which allows there to be some flexibility around which team might be more appropriate for the young person's needs.
