Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Psychologist to join our dedicated team in Great Yarmouth and Waveney as Principal Psychologist, to support us on our improvement journey and provide clinical expertise to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Team.
This post will suit ambitious, experienced, and knowledgeable clinicians who have the passion and vision to play a leading role in transforming the quality and effectiveness of services offered to those with mental health difficulties and their families.
The post is for an initial 12 month Maternity Cover, however we are able to offer a continued substantive post within our CAMHS teams as an 8a Clinical Psychologist (after the 12 month maternity cover). Ensuring continuity of this post will mean we will have achieved our ambition of having Principal Clinical Psychologists contributing to the leadership of all of our core teams

Main duties of the job
The team's primary base, is Northgate Hospital, Great Yarmouth, with a second base at Meridian House in Lowestoft, as the East CAMHS team covers Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
We're looking for someone who can offer first class clinical leadership within our services; you'll be supporting energetic multi-disciplinary teams and helping to shape service quality as we improve our clinical pathways across our various service lines.
You will work closely alongside other clinicians including Consultant Psychiatrists, Consultant Clinical Psychologists and psychological therapists across the service.

We're proud of the career development we have created for psychologists within the Trust; from Assistant Psychologist through to Chief Psychological Officer at Executive level. When joining us as Principal Psychologist, you can expect bespoke training, and supervision from a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.Your role will be to offer clinical leadership across your service, alongside holding complex therapeutic cases and providing clinical support to the wider team. This will include direct supervision of a range of clinicians and overall responsibility for the clinical quality of the service alongside the Consultant Clinical Psychologist.Ideally, you'll be experienced in working with a wide range of clinical presentations and be confident in the use of therapeutic interventions such as CBT as well as other therapeutic modalities such as Systemic Family Therapy or EMDR.
