Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual with excellent attention to detail to join Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust's dynamic, fast-paced Workforce Deployment Team.
The Workforce Deployment Specialist role requires a driven and highly adaptable person with the ability to move between responsibilities dependant on service need.
Main Duties of the Job:
- Provide direct support to the e-Rostering team lead for the continued rollout of the Allocate Optima e-rostering system for Agenda for Change staff. This includes the migration of departments to the system, resolving more complex technical problems, system configuration and addressing the process changes that complement the effective implementation.
- To deputise for Workforce Deployment Manager for annual leave periods
- Become an expert user of the e-Rostering system, ensuring a high level of knowledge and accuracy in order to actively promote e-Rostering throughout the Trust.
- Responsible for the regular maintenance of various workforce systems to evaluate and ensure that both ESR (Electronic Staff Records) and e-Rostering databases are synchronised via system interface, and ensuring that the system provides accurate and consistent data.
- Contribute to testing of system upgrades prior to implementation
Main duties of the job
Main duties continued:
- To undertake analysis and audit of information produced by the e-Rostering system, providing a summary of and reports to senior managers as required.
- Responsible for developing and establishing appropriate systems of work organisation within the Temporary staffing team. Promote greater cross-cover working and implement an effective use of handovers to ensure continuity of service.
- To promote and demonstrate effective communication within the Directorate and Trust representing the Temporary Staffing team at appropriate meetings.
- Ensuring that clear and timely data is present at the request of Senior management.
- Run training sessions with senior managers and ward managers/senior to ensure that they are using the NHSP system alongside Healthroster to its full potential.
- To bring issues to the attention of the Workforce Deployment Lead for inclusion in the Issues Log.
- To bring any risks identified to the attention of the Workforce Deployment Lead for inclusion in the Risk register.
- Work with Workforce Deployment Manager to deliver induction and training for bank members at regularly scheduled recruitment and induction events.
- Collect and prepare activity data as required including efficiency indicators on roster production, utilisation of staff and performance of the software to inform Trust Key performance Indicators (KPIs) and support improved use of resources.
About us
The post holder will support the Workforce Deployment Team across both Temporary Staffing and e-Rostering throughout NSFT. They will primarily be responsible for the smooth uptake and ongoing daily operation of e-Rostering team. The post-holder will act as the visible and accessible first point of contact for managers, clinical staff and admin staff providing advice, guidance, support and training on all aspects of the e-Rostering process as well as supporting with Temporary Staffing queries as and when required.
The post holder will maintain and ensure quality assurance of all e-Rostering data. The post holder will also be the primary provider of support and advice for operational managers and staff which include further training in all aspects of e-Rostering and working to resolve problems that arise as a result of the use of the Healthroster system
