Job summary

The way that Crisis Support nationally is changing; at NSFT we have recently benefitted from investment in the CRHT team and the wider crisis pathway.

The service is not only being invested in financially, with a fresh approach to ideas and service delivery being supported by the Trust, we are confident that the new partnerships and initiatives that are being developed will enhance the crisis response received by our service users.

This role is to work across the crisis support pathway based predominantly at Hellesdon Hospital in Norwich. We can offer successful applicants the opportunity to work with our third sector partners that will be providing crisis support, ED diversion and housing. This role is open at both Band 6 on the prescribingcourseand Band 7 level.

Main duties of the job

The CRHT team are very proactive and highly skilled at managing risk and supporting service users in South, North and Central Norfolk who present in crisis and persons needing intensive support to avoid hospital admission. The team is the 'front-door' to acute services, they provide triage, assessment, intensive support and admission avoidance hand in hand with support of families and 3rd party providers. The staffing teams also works with service users already in hospital to ensure that they can be supported at home at the earliest opportunity to support their recovery.

The team is well supported by our clinical psychologist and assistant psychologist who provide weekly complex case forums, skills groups and 1:1 supervision where required.
