Job summary
The North East Community mental health team are looking to recruit a mental health nurse who is looking to develop their skills in working with service users who have complex mental health needs in a community setting. Based at the Peddars Centre in Hellesdon Hospital, we are a Team who focuses on staffs' Continuing Professional Development, with a drive for further developing the teams' clinical knowledge and skills. The Team also has established links with the Primary Care Network and other agencies, which enhances our work, to ensure we are able to help and support service users and carers.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced nurse who can work independently and as part of a team; is forward thinking; innovative and highly motivated, and keen to work with this client group. We value the contribution of others and recognise the benefit of a variety of clinical experience.
You will be well supported and supervised by Senior Nurse Specialists and a Consultant Psychiatrist. You will learn and develop through supervised practice, regular multi-disciplinary team meetings, and you will be able to attend training and development days.
If you are able to complete high-quality clinical work safely and engage well with a complex client group with varying needs according to age, in a confident and positive way, then this is great opportunity for you to join us to enhance your skills and develop increased autonomy and clinical responsibility.
