Do you want to work within a multi-disciplinary service to create new and innovative ways of working with children? If so, an exciting opportunity for a nurse to join the Norfolk Youth Offending Team (NYOT) health provision has arisen.
The Norfolk Youth Offending Team (NYOT) is a multi-agency partnership team whose aim is to prevent children and young people offending in a child-first family focused trauma informed way. The successful candidate would be joining a unique and growing health team within the Norfolk Youth Offending Team which is a joint partnership between Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and the Norfolk Youth Offending Team. The health team holds a small specialist assessment and intervention case load and have close links with Children's Services, the Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) team and the wider Child, Family and Young Persons (CFYP) Mental Health Service.
Main duties of the job
It is an exciting and dynamic time for an individual to join the Norfolk Youth Offending Team Health team as recently secured funding has meant growth in the workforce capacity and an expansion of the service offer.
The post holder will contribute to ongoing service evaluation and development, whilst offering high quality assessment and intervention to the children and families we work with. The successful candidate will join a growing team which comprises of an Assistant Practitioner, a Clinical Psychologist, a Business Support Officer and an Operational Manager.
The post holder will offer management oversight to the assistant practitioner, receive clinical supervision from the Clinical Psychologist, have access to ongoing reflective supervision and will hold a clinical caseload of assessments and intervention as appropriate.
We would like you to possess the ability to independently manage your own caseload, time and have a particular depth of knowledge and experience in young person's mental health, working successfully with families experiencing complex psychosocial difficulties.
