Are you an experienced systemic psychotherapist seeking an opportunity in a forward-thinking, supportive service?

The Perinatal Community Mental Health Team here at NSFT are seeking a systemic psychotherapist to join their growing team.

The Norfolk and Waveney Perinatal Community Mental Health Service is undergoing a period of rapid growth and expansion in line with the ambitions of the NHS Long Term which has invested £365 million in specialist perinatal mental health services as part of a five-year programme. This is aimed at increasing access to expert treatment and support for an extra 30,000 women each year, closer to home, when they need it.

This is a key new role within our team, which will help us to offer more family focused interventions and to support our work with partners and fathers.

Main duties of the job

You will play a key role in helping the service to deliver on the NHS long-term plan ambitions to deliver family and couple interventions and to consider how we can work with whole family systems. You will work as part of a broad MDT and support the delivery of therapeutic interventions by range of professionals.

Main duties will include, but not be limited to: assessment and formulation of individuals and families with a range of complex mental health difficulties in the perinatal period, provision of family therapy, supporting the team to think systemically, providing supervision and consultation.

We are looking to appoint a skilled, committed, and motivated individual with excellent communication and organisational skills and a keen interest in working with. Previous experience of working with pre-school children is ideal but not essential.

We can accommodate some flexible working, in line with the service need and we are Family Friendly and supportive teams. There will be a requirement to be able to travel independently across the beautiful Norfolk and Suffolk countryside on occasion.
