Are you a Senior Mental Health Practitioner looking to work as part of a collaborative, developing community team based on the outskirts of Norwich?
Hello, my name is Nicole Smith & I am the Service Manager here at the City Community Mental Health teams based at The Anchorage, Norwich.
Our forward-thinking community mental health teams are seeking a band 7 Senior mental health practitioner to join their team on an initial fixed term 12-month contract.
We are currently improving on how we work, to ensure that our team can provide an excellent service to our local communities; we have recently invested in numerous clinical lead posts to support our current multi-disciplinary teams.
As Senior mental health practitioner, you'll play a key role within the clinical leadership team supporting the team to ensure in our service users are on the right treatment pathways as part of their recovery plan. You will work with the service user, carers, external agencies & other services to ensure the service received is streamlined and cohesive.
It is the ideal time to join our collaborative team as we transform & develop the way we work -although this is a full-time role, we can be flexible & can offer some hybrid working &/or flexible working patterns if needed.

Main duties of the job
As a band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will be part of the senior clinical leadership team supporting the CMHT, your role will include triaging of new referrals, completing complex assessments and care planning, delivering caseload supervision and supporting discharges. You will hold a small caseload of service users with complex mental health conditions that require ongoing care and treatment from secondary mental health services.
You'll be working alongside a large multi-disciplinary team so being able to work well in a team and having excellent communication skills is vital. You'll get the opportunity to work with students from various disciplines as well as supervising other members of the team so having good leaderships skills is also vital. As part of the clinical leadership team, you will be involved in improving our service as part of community transformation, and we are looking for the ideal candidate to be innovative and excited by change. You can expect a thorough induction and training period, as well as opportunities for ongoing development.

The ideal candidate should have experience in working in a mental health environment and ideally experiencing in working in community teams. You'll be motivated, compassionate, a good leader, and keen to ensure our service users receive the best possible outcomes.
