Job summary

This is where you come in! We are seeking to recruit a Charge Nurse to join our team at Samphire Ward in Kings Lynn. You may be a Mental Health Nurse, a Learning Disabilities Nurse or a Registered General Nurse with experience in Mental Health. We are looking to appoint nurses who can join our trust and bring with them fresh ideas and fresh ambition.

Samphire Ward is a 16-bed acute admission ward housed in a purpose-built facility built in consultation with both staff and service users. This means we have an environment that is conducive for staff to focus on delivering high quality, effective and compassionate care to our service users. We are looking for ambitious people to apply for this role who want to grow and progress in their careers as we take a creative outlook on the development of our staff. Through listening to your values, opinions and suggestions, the team supports ongoing learning both internally and externally.

You will need to be enthusiastic and conscientious and do everything you can to provide the best care to our service users. We are looking for someone who displays compassion, empathy and sensitivity in your approach to people who may be distressed or have a challenging manner. In return, we offer a supportive team environment where you will be encouraged to develop your own knowledge of psychosocial interventions and positive health promotion, with first-hand experience of engaging service users within an inpatient setting.

Our primary focus is on collaborative working; placing great emphasis on the assessment/recovery model. Many aspects relating to service user recovery is reflected within the assessment tools the patients and staff use and the philosophy that underpins patient centred care.
