Northgate Ward, based on the West Suffolk Hospital site has an opportunity for a Ward Manager to join their existing team.
Northgate is a mixed 21 bedded Ward based here in the heart of beautiful Bury St Edmunds serving the residents of West Suffolk. Part of Wedgwood House based on the West Suffolk Hospital site Northgate Ward is fast becoming known within Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust as a fast paced, free-thinking ward where staff are supported to think creatively and empowered to lead on Quality Improvement projects.

Whether you have experience at a Ward Manager level or are in a deputy role and looking for the opportunity to step up and take on a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a ward manager who will lead from the front and as part of our ambition to have a leadership team that is visible and working alongside staff, you will be required to work 1 shift per week within the numbers.
Our busy ward cares for men and women over the age of 18 with acute mental health illnesses; we provide care and treatment for people with the following conditions: depression, bipolar affective disorders, psychosis, anxiety and personality disorder.
We are committed to lifelong learning and continuous professional development (CPD); you will have regular supervisions, where a development plan can be agreed between you and your manager.
