Job summary

Our Children, Families & Young People service based in Suffolk is seeking a dedicated Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

It is an exciting time to join us as we introduce and develop our new outreach and wellbeing mental health service area - an area where it'll be your role to lead on the clinical development.

This is a new and evolving service which acts as the 'front door' for children and young people up to the age of 25. The focus of this area of service is a locality-based model in Suffolk developing teams to intervene early as part of our whole system mental health approach as we embed the iThrive framework.

There has been significant investment in Children's and Young People's services across Suffolk and this post will provide you with the opportunity to work across the Integrate Care System - working alongside partners within social care, schools etc. to promote early intervention, emotional wellbeing and ultimately improving outcomes for recovery.

We're looking for a clinical leader who wants an opportunity to be involved in transformation projects, opening up boundaries and championing cross organisational working.

Main duties of the job

The services will consist of teams working in education, primary care and family hubs providing consultation, advice guidance and help. The teams are a reconfiguration of our existing teams which include the CYP IAPY/Wellbeing Team, Psychology in Schools Team and primary Care network funded clinicians working alongside the Mental Health Support Teams in Schools. The role will work closely with colleagues in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and the Young Adult Mental Health Services and Community Eating Disorder Service.

This is a diverse role so we are looking for someone who will be able to provide clinical leadership and who will play a key part in the comprehensive CFYP transformation in Suffolk. The transformation is part of our whole system change and managers will be supported by programme managers and a project support officer. The Service model will be shaped by working with our people participation lead and in collaboration with children, young people, their parents and carers and with the VCSE, to ensure the development of an accessible, responsive and high quality service.

We're a flexible, supportive team and you will be encouraged to continue to train, develop and progress in your career. This is the ideal opportunity to drive change and develop your leadership and change management skills.

About us

Here at NSFT we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive.

This is an exciting time of Transformation of mental health services in Suffolk, creating opportunities for services to recognise and consolidate what they are doing well and also to drive creativity to radically change service delivery. The changes are locally driven, with the aim of embedding mental health services within the community.

We are committed to delivering quality driven mental health services. Every individual makes a valuable contribution. We are proud of our staff who have been commended for the care they provide. Do you value working positively, respectfully and together? If so, we'd love you to join us!

We will consider flexible working arrangements for our roles, please indicate in your application if this is something you require.
