The band 5/6 [depending on qualification/registration] post-holder will work within the Child and adolescent mental health services 0 to 18 Yr olds (NHS: Children and young people's services, Learning Disability Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Children's Neurodevelopmental Services).
Main duties of the job
Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust [NCHC] in partnership with Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust [NSFT] are excited to offer a HEE - Hearth Education England funded Post Graduate Recruit to Train (RtT) Psychological Therapies practitioner - for adapting therapies for Autism and Learning Disability.

We welcome you to apply to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma level training as a Psychological Therapies practitioner - working with Autistic young people, and or those with Learning Disability, who require support with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
This is a development/training role within the Child and Young Persons Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme - Learning Disability and Autism (CYP-IAPT LD/ASD).
The post-holder will work within the Child and adolescent mental health services 0 to 18 Yr olds (NHS: Children and young people's services, Learning Disability Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Children's Neurodevelopmental Services).
About us
This role will be best suited for applicants able to balance a busy work and study schedule. You will be an employee within CFYPS [Child family young people's services] whilst enrolled for 1 or 2 days a week on a Postgraduate Diploma course. This is a Postgraduate level diploma; you will be required to study and write academic material at this level. As well as for fulfilling the band 5/6 role. Applicants must be prepared to study and write assignments outside of protected study time (i.e. outside of 37 1/2hrs work hours).
The PGDipin CYPIAPT Therapies ASD/LD Module) starts in January 2023 and will be completed over 1year. Students will study their ASD/LD Modules alongside Core Skills Modules. Students will be required to attend university regularly each week (expected to be Monday and or Tuesdays). Their remaining time in role will be spent working clinically within CFYP service with children, young people, their families, schools and wider systems [as part of band 5/6 role job description]
