Are you a Physician Associate with a passion for improving the physical health of people with severe mental health problems? If so, we would love you to join us in our brand new Community Mental Health Rehabilitation Team.
Our innovative team has been developed as part of the community transformation program and focuses on improving the lives of up to ninety adults with complex psychosis. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and practice under the supervision of the Team Consultant Psychiatrist. Regular weekly supervision will be provided.
You will be a full member of the team and attend daily morning meetings, weekly team meetings, and reflective practice.
You will engage with our service users to provide support and advise on lifestyle and health issues, including weight management and smoking cessation.
You will take the lead on ensuring all our service users receive the NICE recommended physical health monitoring for people with psychosis, as well as analyse and act on the results.
You will help service users access help for health problems, including liaising with general practitioners and hospital specialists, where service users have difficulty engaging with mainstream services.
You will be part of the Physician Associate network, who meet weekly.
You will have access to the F1 training program at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
