Job summary

Hi, my name is Carla and I am the Community Team Manager for our South Norfolk community team within Children, Family and Young People's services here at NSFT. Having recently joined the team I wanted to share my experience...

It is always difficult to move to a new team, but I have received a really warm welcome and have been really impressed that I have been given the opportunity to make a difference, to put my own spin on things and the role has been moulded to suit me and my skill set.

The team are strong and credible, we have a friendly team atmosphere where ideas are welcomed and explored. We are creating the conditions to embrace change whilst always ensuring the basics. We work hard to ensure that from the very moment people access our services to the moment they leave their care will be outstanding.

I am pleased to be able to advertise a new Senior Nursing role within the team, one which will challenge your thinking, expand your knowledge and connect with your heart.

Main duties of the job

Whilst experience working with children and young people would make you perfectly suited to this role, we are really open to welcoming people from clinical backgrounds who have experience in other areas of mental health. We understand that you will be able to bring with you a wealth of skills and experience to the team and would welcome ways of thinking.

We are looking for people to join us with enthusiasm, optimism, fresh ideas and energy. We will expect you to want to work clinically but would like your expertise and input with team/service strategic decision making.

Are you an experienced registered nurse who is proficient in the nursing process of initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care?

Do you demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and strive to provide high quality, safe care and interventions for Young People?

Are you able to provide strong clinical leadership and effective supervision to registered and non-registered staff?

About us

We want you in our team if you share our values and core beliefs. If you want to work in an environment of mutual respect, transparency, integrity and collaborative working we are the team for you.

We are an improving Trust, with ambitious aspirations and pushing ahead with exciting transformation work. We have strong, established nursing networks coupled with an exceptional leadership team who will ensure you are truly cared for and cared about.

I had not realised how beautiful Norfolk was until I moved here. The people are warm and welcoming and I've found some amazing restaurants in Norwich. I have felt the benefits to my wellbeing living in such a beautiful part of the county

There will be so many things you don't know or don't always hear about Norfolk, Norwich is vibrant, diverse, quirky and original but only a stone's throw from the sea, the rugged countryside and the beautiful beaches.
