Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit to the post of Community Team Manager within our Children, Families and Young People service in Suffolk. The post holder will work within the Neuro Development pathway including the under 18 ASD Team, under 18 ADHD Team and under 18 Learning Disabilities Team. This is an opportunity to be part of the creation of a cohesive NDD offer within Suffolk working closely with project support, Clinical leads, CAMHS and YAMHS services as part of the transformation of children's services.

We would welcome applicants with clinical knowledge and experience of working within a Neurodevelopmental team or within community mental health services. We are looking for someone with line management experience who can work creatively with individuals and service users with excellent and varied communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

The Community Team Manager role will also play a key part supporting the comprehensive CFYP transformation in Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity to drive change and develop your leadership and change management skills. People participation, co-production and collaboration with the VCSE are fundamental to our service model, in order to ensure development, maintenance, and systematic provision of a high-quality specialist service in line with NICE guidance, QED standards, National and Local priorities.

Main duties of the job

The Community Team Manager role is responsible for the operational management of a range of aspects of service delivery within the team and for clinical/managerial supervision of professional staff according to the trust values.To ensure safe caring, responsive, high quality service is provided to service users, their families and carers within the clinical environment by ensuring compliance with Statutory and Regulatory requirements and Trust Policies, pathways, standard operating procedures and protocols.They will allocate work accordingly within the team to ensure effective and efficient use of resources to ensure service users and carers needs are met, and monitor the team's contribution and performance to the overall objectives of the Trust.The Community Team Manager will provide professional governance and leadership within their area.

About us

NSFT is engaged in a process of significant and exciting change with a new Suffolk-wide care group for Children, Young People and Families. Recent CQC inspection has shown improvements in the services which we plan to build on as we transform the eating disorder service following the recent investment from NHSE and the CCG.

We have a new leadership structure and are engaged with internal and external transformation. NSFT in collaboration with alliance partners are striving to deliver a truly biopsychosocial approach within the 'Thrive' framework. This will require significant system changes across Suffolk to move towards a whole system approach.
