Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced band 6 occupational therapist to play a lead role in the development and co-ordination of our workshop programme for service users in the North and City Adult Community Mental Health Teams in the North Norfolk and Norwich Care Group (the post is a twelve month post).
The successful applicant will also have access to support from the Trust Occupational Therapy network, including professional management support and opportunities for CPD development and will also be part of our vibrant North and City Psychology Teams, as well as our wider Community Teams.
For internal applicants we can offer fixed term roles as secondments with your current managers approval. Please advise your recruitment officer if you would like to be considered for this role on a secondment basis.
Main duties of the job
As part of this role, you will be responsible for:
- The development of workshop content and delivery with service user participation where possible.
- Promotion of workshops to service users and teams.
- Streamlining the referral and workshop enrolment process.
- Liaison with other professionals.
- Keeping clinical records.
- Gathering and analysing outcome information with the help of one of our psychology assistants.
- Collating service user feedback and developing a reporting system.
- Working alongside other professionals and psychology assistants to provide the workshops.
- Training other professionals in workshop delivery and supervision structures.
