Job summary

Suffolk Rehabilitation and Recovery Service (SRRS) is a Community Rehabilitation Unit with the aim of supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental illness with the long term focus of establishing service users in the community setting and preventing relapse. We are currently the only mental health rehabilitation setting within Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust.

We are committed to helping individuals on the recovery pathway - this could be assisting individuals with enduring mental health conditions or helping a newly diagnosed individual regain the living skills and provide a foundation to develop preventing future admissions.

At SRRS we have a 10 bedded unit offering 24 hour support. our support includes continues assessment of individuals capabilities with regards to planned daily living activities and assessments based on the recoverymodel which endeavours toassist a move on to independent or further supported accommodation.

We will provide a full induction on recruitment, on-going training and regular peer support. We have a genuine commitment to training and development with an extensive teaching matrix and protected time for managerial and clinical supervision supported by psychology input. You must have a full and valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Main duties of the job

As a B5 Mental Health Nurse you will be responsible for the day to day running of shifts attending MDTs, ward reviews, liaising with other agencies, supporting service users with their recovery journey. You will have named nurse responsibility and be expected to work alongside your named patient to support their recovery goals.

Full Time Position (Part time may be considered +3 days per week)

37.5 average hours per week. Requirement of the post is to engage in a flexible shift pattern, potentially working weekends and night shifts. Shifts are Early Shift: 07:00 - 15:00, Late Shift 13:00 - 21:00 Night Shift 20:30 - 07:30
