If candidates have a preferred post, they should specify this in their supporting statement.
About us
The Norfolk and Waveney EIP teams are part of the Specialist Service care group in Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. EIP offers assessment and treatment for people aged 14-65 years with a first episode of psychosis, in line with the NHS England Access and Waiting Time Standard. EIP in Norfolk and Waveney has undergone significant expansion over the last five years following funding from NHS England so that these standards can be achieved.
Where necessary, travelling within the community will be required. The successful post holder will therefore need to hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to drive to base or appointments.
You must possess a degree in psychology which is BPS accredited.
If you would like to enquire about this post please contact Dr Andre Bolster (Clinical Psychologist) via 07557 191355 or andre.bolster@nsft.nhs.uk (for queries related to the clinical aspect of the role) or Dr Dave Heavens (Principal Clinical Psychologist) via 07552 008106 or dave.heavens@nsft.nhs.uk (for queries related to the audit aspect of the role).
Interviews for the advertised positions will be held on Microsoft Teams (link to be sent to shortlisted candidates) w/c 13th December 2021. Specific interview date and time to be confirmed.
Please note that the vacancy may close if we have received sufficient applications before the expiry date and the interview date is subject to change.
Job description
Job responsibilities
Both posts will offer opportunity to network with EIP teams in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Waveney and Kings Lynn as part of the Norfolk and Waveney EIP service. In addition to data collection, successful candidates will attend clinical team meetings, administer assessments and deliver individual and group psychological interventions. There will also be opportunity to develop and conduct research and be involved in service evaluation and service user involvement projects.
Supervision will be provided by qualified clinical psychologists. There will also be opportunities for continuing professional development, including attendance at regular training events, team case discussion and reflective practice groups. The Norfolk and Waveney EIP teams and the CFYP service have clinical and research links with the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at the University of East Anglia (UEA).
In line with Trust guidance, the Norfolk and Waveney EIP teams are embracing a hybrid working model. This reflects a new and effective way of working and need to balance COVID safety with our commitment to high level service provision. The successful candidate will be required to work from base and from home, engaging with face to face, telephone and video conferencing as appropriate. Please note that the amount of time spent at base versus home will depend on updated government and Trust guidance and may therefore change over time. The successful candidate will be provided with the necessary equipment for working from home and regular clinical and management supervision will be available. The teams are utilising methods of communicating with service users for psychological assessment and intervention and we expect to be able to continue to provide a service throughout the ongoing pandemic.
