Are you a Dietitian wishing to gain broad experience in clinical dietetics?

We are looking for a HCPC registered Dietitian to join our team of Dietitians and a Dietetic Assistant based at Tameside General Hospital.

This is an opportunity to gain practical experience delivering a dietetic service to a range of wards e.g. medicine including respiratory, gastroenterology, surgical and orthopaedic. The post holder will be involved with oral nutrition support, enteral tube feeding and parenteral nutrition*(* after suitable training / with supervision). There will also be an opportunity to work with senior dietitians in other areas such as critical care to facilitate professional development.

You will be involved with the delivery of training to both health care professionals and patient groups.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide effective dietetic treatment for a caseload of adult inpatients at Tameside General Hospital. This will be on a variety of wards so will give experience in a wide range of areas of dietetic practice.

Support will be provided by senior dietitians to successfully complete Trust preceptorship, to ensure appropriate professional development and to give an opportunity to experience more specialised dietetics.

The post holder will provide training to other Healthcare Professionals, patients and will be involved in the training of student dietitians.
