Job summary
If you are a Registered Nurse or Midwife with a minimum of 120 academic credits at Level 6 (degree), you are invited to apply for the SCPHN-SN course commencing September 2025. We are offering the opportunity for suitable candidates to undertake School Nurse training at our partner higher educational institute Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) via a fixed term contract sponsorship.

Your learning, development and assessment will be overseen by a named Practice Education & Development lead (P.E.D.L) and a day to day supervisor.

Main duties of the job
To work towards gaining the standards ofproficiency for entry to the NMC register/recordable for Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN).
To provide the SCPHN Apprentice with a learning environment this will enable the student to develop knowledge, skills and competencies to take on the role of a qualified SCPHN within a defined pathway.
To gain the knowledge and skills and competence required in order to exercise higher levels of judgment, discretion and decision making in clinical care focusing on four broad areas:
