eCommerce Specialist - Band 4

As a member of the Purchase to Pay team the eCommerce Specialist is part of the wider Procurement department. The position is a varied and flexible role, changing in accordance with operational requirements, with high focus on delivering exceptional service to stakeholders, coordinating a wide variety of queries relating to operational and strategic procurement activities as well as data analysis and reporting

The role will require exception attention to detail assuring compliance to Trust SFI's as well as Procurement regulations at local and national level. Coordinating use on multiple eCommerce platforms such as but not limited to current and future EPR systems, Catalogue Systems, Inventory Management Systems and Contracting solutions.

The post holder will be expected to disseminate and deliver complex procurement information and training to end users, as well as being adept at using MS packages and power BI to manage large volumes of data for analysis and forecasting purposes. Post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of catalogue activities to junior colleagues and work closely with the eCommerce Systems Lead.

Requirements of the role will require analysis and reporting of national hospital metrics relating to, but not limited to NHS England / Model hospital, NHS Spend Comparison Service, Atamis CRM and local reporting and assurance requirements.

Daily tasks will include ensuring Trust catalogues are accurate, valid and in-line with GS1 standards as well as providing support for junior colleagues with operational requirements, post holders should collaborate with external stakeholders and maintain regular supplier reviews with strategic partners. Requirements around Trusts Inventory management system will also provide daily attention and resolution to any IMS or Scan4Safety requirements.

Requirement to assist as and when required with any reasonable request to perform duties that are linked to the provision and stability of business-as-usual Procurement requirements that are requested from senior department managers, to provide assistant where required undertaking any other duties deemed appropriate to the band when requested.

Ability to communicate and analyse complex financial data, Procurement knowledge and experience would be a benefit in the role, however general business administration would also provide suitable experience for the role. Understanding of catalogue management systems and knowledge of procurement cycle will be essential to the role.

Dealing with large volumes of data and ability analyse, interrogate and present information to all level and type of stakeholder will be essential to on-going requirements of the post holder, with an emphasis on data accuracy and understanding of GS1 standards at the forefront of requirements as well as good understanding of NHS Scan4Safety best practice.

SECTION 3- EFFORT AND ENVIRONMENT

Liaising both in person and electronically with all types of stakeholders of all levels can lead to challenging confrontations, post holders must be able to keep to core Trust values in dealing with conflict.
