Health Visitor - Band 6 Various hours
An opportunity has arisen for part time/full time Health Visitors to work in the 0-19 Service working for Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The role of the Health Visitor is to promote good health and prevent ill health in children, families and communities. Health Visitors do this through raising awareness of and identifying unmet health needs, and initiating, developing, implementing and evaluating plans of care. They work inpartnership with families, primary care, statutory & voluntary services and other partner agencies, in order to facilitate health-enhancing activities. Health Visitors use and establish networks within thecommunity in order to inform, influence and implement policies which affect health outcomes.

Main duties of the job
The post requires good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be adaptable, reliable, compassionate and approachable. You will need to have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, be flexible, solution focused and support service development.
You will work as part of an integrated 0-19 Team and will be required to support the full delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and be responsible for managing a caseload of universal partnership and partnership plus families. You will also be involved in a range of public health activities within a geographical area, to include individuals, groups and communities.
As a key stakeholder in the safeguarding of children, you will be required to work collaboratively with other agencies to meet their needs. You will have a good knowledge of the components of Clinical Governance, Risk Management, Audits and relevant Professional Codes
