Job summary

Charity Manager Permanent - Band 7 37.5 Hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Charity Manager to help take our fundraising and charitable funds to the next level.

This is a great opportunity to join an integrated care organisation and play a pivotal role in the development of the Trust's Everyone Matters Charitable Fund.

The successful candidate will have a successful track record of delivering high-impact fundraising campaigns and be able to build the fundraising function from the ground up. As Charity Manager, you will work alongside other teams and departments to identify opportunities for success, as well as having a real focus on legacies; working with the local community, businesses and families to consider the Trust's Everyone Matters Charitable fund as a worthy cause.

As part of the Communications and Marketing team, the successful candidate will work alongside colleagues within the department to ensure the Trust's charity receives the best possible coverage and promotion.

There is an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to become 'self-funding' within the first 12 months of employment. This will be reviewed after six months in the role.

Main duties of the job

An exciting role to develop and manage Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust's Charity, leading the delivery of the Trust's Fundraising Strategy to maximise revenue. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant team and be instrumental in the delivery of a transformative strategy and raise capital and revenue funds.

Covering all departments within the Trust, you'll be fundraising for specialist equipment, enhanced furnishings and projects to improve patient experience. Ideally, you'll have a background of proven success within donor engagement, legacy donations and retention of donors. You will have designed and delivered exceptional fundraising campaigns and have experience in public facing fundraising roles.

You'll act as the link between the Trust's charity, the local community and the local business community, and manage the implementation of community engagement and event programmes in order to maximise charitable income and opportunities. An important part of this role is raising awareness of how local people can support the Trust and our patients.

You will have extensive experience in fundraising and substantial experience of implementing sound supporter retention and development plans to increase affinity and maximise engagement. In addition, you'll have substantial experience of generating income in the non-profit sector.

SECTION 1- MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the link between the Trusts charity, the local community and the local business community.
  • Manage the implementation of community engagement and event programmes in order to maximise charitable income and opportunities.
